Mark Butler brings over 35 years of specialist experience within the aviation insurance market. He began his insurance career in 1990 and brings expertise in airline, general aviation and airport liability claims. Throughout his career, he has overseen numerous high-value and technically challenging complex losses, including cases involving multiple fatalities and multi-jurisdictional considerations.

Prior to joining Arcadian, Mark served as Aviation Claims Director and then Partner for Arthur J. Gallagher. His depth of technical knowledge enables him to provide balanced, informed and commercially sound assessments. Mark is recognised by his peers for his ability to analyse intricate claims with clarity and independence, ensuring fair outcomes are proportionate and well reasoned.

With a strong commitment to professional standards and best practice, he brings credibility, integrity and meticulous attention to detail. His extensive market insight and practical experience position him as a trusted authority in the peer review of complex insurance claims.
