Ian Simes, the founder and Managing Director of Arcadian, began his career in insurance on 8 February 1982 and has since built extensive expertise in the Lloyd's and London Market insurance and reinsurance sectors. His experience spans global underwriting and TPA claims audits, having personally conducted more than 400 audits worldwide.

Under Ian's leadership, Arcadian has established itself as a leading independent claims peer review firm, refining the claims audit process over an 18-year partnership with a top Lloyd's Syndicate. Ian currently oversees quarterly expert claims peer reviews for three Lloyd's Syndicates, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and superior claims handling.

In 2019, Ian spearheaded expert claims peer reviews for a prominent London Market entity, enhancing oversight for multiple Managing Agents. With a global footprint expanding across Australia, Canada and the USA, Ian continues to drive Arcadian's commitment to operational excellence.
